Blogs of all kinds like HR, recruiting, and business fill the internet and they contain articles on many kinds of topics.  Blog Carnivals collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. It’s kind of like a magazine in that Blog Carnivals have editors, contributors, a title, a topic and an audience.  Just like your favorite magazine, editions of the carnival are published on a regular basis and each edition consists of links to all the blogs collected for the topic.  As any reader knows, the blog world is jam packed and just finding interesting stuff you’re interested in can be hard. But, if there is a carnival for, say HR or recruiting, then following that carnival is a great way to find blogs on that topic.  So, how does it work? Typically, a blog carnival will have a host who announces the next carnivals topic. Other bloggers who have their own blogs contribute a post related to the blog carnivals topic. Then they publish it on their blog. Sometimes the blog carnival travels providing an opportunity for established blog reader to be exposed to different blogs.  Sometimes the blog carnivals stay in one place.  The challenge is that blog carnivals are hard to find just like carnies and their transient nature.  The carnival moves from place to place not generally calling one blog home, at least for too long. Each participating blogger sends the host the link to their specific blog carnival post entry. The posts are recent generally published within the last 2 weeks  to a month of the blog carnivals next publish date, and must be related to the topic of the blog carnival in some way. Blog carnivals are great for new bloggers, experienced, or professional because they help us the following ways: Provide New Readership.  They are a great way to engage readers who are interested in the type of content and resources you provide online.
